Discovering Nature, Saddles and Solitude in an Old Abandoned Tennessee Farm

When we started creating these webpages a few years ago, it was purely just a tool we were learning to document our journeys here. We had faint hopes that it would somehow find its way into the homes and minds of other good people and perhaps stimulate thoughts or just provide some safe late night reading.

We had now idea how fast our stories would begin to travel and have been completely shocked and humbled every time we receive an email, letter or guestbook signing that thanks us for sharing. We've made so many new friends and have strengthened our visions from your stories. Your reflections are completing the circle and have made us all the richer. We Thank You! -

"I was at a women's gathering and everyone was discussing their favorite websites in the computer. When it came my turn to speak I knew exactly what they were. For sheer pleasure and relaxation I love to visit "ButterflyHollow". I tell everyone,"don't get in a hurry, just imagine that you are lying in that hammock with the butterflys all around and enjoying the beauty of the scenery." I hope someday I can make it to Butterfly Hollow, I hope it's in May." - Beverly

"My deepest and most sincerest congratulations. You have done exactly what I would like to do. I have enjoyed your webpage very much and in fact I printed it, just to keep myself in perspective if I ever face one of those days that I feel like I need to waste my money on something not entirely worth it. The books that you have suggested are on my list to look up at the library today when the kids and I go. Thank you very much for sharing your dreams and your reality. It kind of makes it all seem possible."

"I teach a first and second grade combination classroom here in Spokane, WA. I had to download your story about how you named your farm and the wonderful butterfly pictures! I know when I share these with my classroom tomorrow those young faces will be thrilled to see the butterflies landing on real people--and so many butterflies all in one area. Right now they are raising Painted Lady butterflies--similar looking to the ones that live by you. I will explain to them what Butterfly kisses are! Thanks for your site." - Craig

"Your page gave me so much inspiration,,thank you. I can only hope to some day own land and only live off what God has given us. It is hard not to get sucked into this world. I am renting a log cabin right now on 36 acres in the forest with no neighbors, but it is not mine. I cannot do what I want to it knowing that it will not be with me forever. It is far more rewarding when you have a place that you can call 'mine.' You guys have given me more motivation to save money for a dream, finally work at getting out of debt, and to learn about what's around me know so that I can take this knowledge with me along my journey...thank you" - Karen
