Discovering Nature, Saddles and Solitude in an Old Abandoned Tennessee Farm
Butterfly Hollow Farm
Where The Beefalo Roam
A Mama's Moo

It's been fun watching this life grow before our eyes. He definitely knows that we're his mommas. I took him out a couple mornings to mingle with his cousins and aunts. I then snuck off into the woods to watch for a while. Their eye site is pretty weak during the first month so it was easy to make my getaway.. Later that afternoon I stood several hundred yards away and did my best attempt at a Mooooo and Curly knew it was me. He followed the sound, running and tripping and finally nudging his head into the familiar feel of my coveralls.

He's been getting his exercise by following us on our daily walks around the ridges. Just like all good Moms we've tried to slowly start teaching him about grass and good wild things to eat. He slowly started figuring things out and began nibbling on the hay we had for him in the barn.
